Barbara Stines Ray

Barbara Stines Ray, 88, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024, in Garrard County. Born to the Late D.N. & Mossie Edna Harp Stines on October 13, 1935 in Williamsburg, Ky. She moved to Virginia, where she graduated from Grundy High School in 1953. Barbara then married Wayne Ray in 1954. Afterwards she lived in Michigan until 1961 when she moved back to Kentucky. Barbara and Wayne celebrated 70 years of marriage in April 2024. She was also a member of Edgewood Baptist Church in Nicholasville, KY.

She is survived by her husband, Othle Wayne Ray, of Lancaster; a son, Gregory Wayne Ray, of Lancaster; a daughter, Margaret Ellen Ray, of Lancaster; a brother, Rodger Stines, of Tennessee; sisters, Sandra Gale Vaughn, of Lancaster & Debbie Davis, of Jenkins, Ky.
