Bernice (Brooks) Erwin

Louria Bernice Erwin, 71, of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024 at UK Medical Center, in Lexington. Born on Sunday, February 8, 1953, in Lexington, she was a daughter of the late Boyd & Margaret Dailey Brooks. Bernice was a homemaker, and was married to her loving husband, Eddie Erwin for 43 years. Bernice enjoyed boating and deer watching with her husband, as well as lovingly “aggravating” her friends and family. She loved all of her animals, especially her departed Pomeranian, “Furby”. Bernice was of the Pentecostal faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, William & Ernest Smith, and a sister, Teresa Hendrix.

Survivors other than her husband Eddie Erwin, of Lancaster, include a son, Buddy (Amy) Rowland, of Danville, brother, Boyd “Buddy” (the late Pearl) Brooks, of Versailles; sister, Emma Lou (Shirley) Brewer, of Paris; grandchildren, Briana Rowland, Dakota (Austin) Vest, Montanna Rowland, Aidan Rowland, & Isabella Rowland; and one great-grandchild, Paisleigh Rowland.

Funeral service will be 12:00 noon Friday, December 20, 2024 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers include Buddy & Aidan Rowland, Austin & Dakota Vest, Jason Clarkston, & Boyd “Buddy” Brooks. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00PM on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home.
