Bessie D. (Raines) Falb

Bessie D. Raines Falb, 92, of Lancaster, passed away Monday, June 16, 2025, at her home surrounded by loved ones. Born on August 21, 1932 in Garrard County, she was the daughter of the late John Carl & Katie Graham Raines. Bessie was a seamstress, and was a former employee at Palm Beach for many years. She particularly enjoyed making drapes & sewing. Bessie loved cooking, and traveling, and was always in search of a great recipe. As the anchor of the family, she was a devout Christian and enjoyed fellowship with friends & family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Isaiah Falb, and a brother, Ernest Glenn Raines.

Survivors include a brother, John C. Raines, Jr., of Mt. Vernon; sisters, Christine (the late Paul) Bourne, of Lancaster, Nancy (the late Gerald) Roller, of Louisville, Debbie (Gary) Hughes, of Danville, several nieces & nephews, as well as several children & grandchildren by marriage.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, June 20, 2025, at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bros. Jerome Frandele & Darin Jenson officiating, and burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers include Larry Raines, Kirby Dennis, Andrew & Steven Taylor, Brandon Burkhart, Dillon & Chance Lane, & James Smith. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until service time on Friday, June 20, 2025, at the funeral home.
