Bessie Louise Robinson, 83, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Landmark of Lancaster. Born Thursday, December 19, 1940 in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Adolph & Gladys Elam Bourne. Louise was a former bookkeeper at the Garrard County Stockyards, and County Treasurer for Garrard County. She was an active member at Hyattsville Baptist Church, and enjoyed yard sales, antiques, fishing, UK sports, the Cincinnati Reds, and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Bourne.
Survivors include a son, Kendall Robinson, of Lexington; brother, Jesse Gordon (Carolyn) Bourne, of Lancaster; sister, Johnetta (the late Doug) Rhodus, of Cartersville.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bro. John Penick and Ricky Stump officiating, and burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers include Harold Rhodus, Jesse Bourne, Gary Artie Bourne, Jeff Bourne, Mark Canada & Eric Wells. Honorary pallbearers include Eddie Coffey, Ralph Broaddus, David & Evelyn White, Curt Carrier, Jim Moberly, Gerald & Linda Price, and Butch & Pam Canter. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions go to Hyattsville Baptist Church and/or Heritage Hospice.
