Betsy Ann Cornelius, 83, of Stanford, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022 at her home, surrounded by loved ones. Born Monday, March 21, 1938 in Madison County, she was a daughter of the late Silas & Mary Jane Gadd Coffey. Betsy was a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years, and enjoyed fishing. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene Cornelius; son, Ronnie Cornelius; brothers, Raymond, Bill, Preston & John Coffey; sisters, Wilma Bolin, Josephine Cornelius, Ella Mae Johnson, & Elizabeth Coffey.
Survivors include daughters, Pamela (the late Randy) Stinnett, of Stanford, Donna (Larry) Adams, & Tina (William) Hager, both of Nicholasville; grandchildren, Brian (Tara) Adams, Brandon Adams, Kevin (Lashawna) Phillips, Dustin (Mary) Phillips, Rodney (Amanda) Ward, & Jr. Hager; great-grandchildren, Drew & Reese Adams, Gavin, Chloe, Brett, Gage, & Cruz Phillips, Jasmine & Kayden Ward, and Aisley & Makenzie Adams, as well as a host of nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home, with Rev. Jim Cook & Bobby Stinnett officiating and burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers include Brian Adams, Kevin Phillips, Rodney Ward, Brandon Adams, Dustin Phillips, & Bradley Baker. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Melvin Dillard, Ryan Weingroff, Pat Clark & Matt Stinnett. Visitation will be held from 11:00AM until service time on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at the funeral home.
