Obituary

Beulah Newman, 86, of Lancaster, passed away Monday, September 05, 2022 at Danville Centre for Health & Rehab. Born Friday, September 04, 1936 to the late George Obb & Martha Elizabeth Oaks Coffey in Garrard County. Beulah was a homemaker and a life long member of Lancaster Church of the Nazarene, she enjoyed traveling, gardening, loved her dogs and was a avid UK fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Claude Newman Jr., brothers, Carlos Coffey, Robert Dale Coffey, Leaender Coffey, sisters, Ruby, Laura Bell, Mary Alice, & Doris Jean.

She is survived by her son, Larry (Carolyn) Friend, of Danville, daughters, Mitzi (the late Doug) Kirby, of Mt. Vernon, Chiquita Elizabeth Basham, of Danville, grandchildren, Jaime Bowen, of Richmond, Nicole Kelly, of North Carolina, great-grandchildren, Piper Bowen, Willow Bowen, Kandence Boston, Scarlett Kelly & Warren Kelly.

Private graveside service will be held Thursday, September 08, 2022 at Pentecostal Fellowship Cemetery with Bro. Dwayne Lobb officiating.  Friends & family may share memories or leave condolences on her tribute wall at: www.ramsey-young.com. Ramsey-Young Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
