Billy Leavell

Billy Leavell, 85, of Lancaster, passed away Friday, August 2, 2024, at his home. Born on February 14, 1939, in Garrard County, he was a son of the late Cabel Denny & Mary Francis Hurt Leavell. Billy was a construction worker, and farmer by trade, as well as a machinery operator. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Cabel Leavell, Jr.

Survivors include his companion of 35 years, Virginia May, of Lancaster, his 3 children, and his sister, Connie Determan, of California.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Lancaster Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Browning officiating. A celebration of life service will be held from 12:00—2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Ramsey-Young Funeral home.
