Butch Amburgey

Arnold Clifford “Butch” Amburgey III, 66, of Crab Orchard, passed away December 15, 2025 at his home. Born January 29, 1959 in Detroit, Michigan, he was a son of the late Arnold Clifford Amburgey, II and Holly Sue Woods Lear. Butch was a carpenter by trade , who loved his Harleys and his best bud , Jack, his blue nose pitbull.  Butch loved to tell jokes , make everyone laugh and would go out of his way to help anyone who needed it. Butch would never say goodbye, but instead said "See ya later."   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Elmer Lee Lear. He is survived by a son, Cameron Amburgey of Casey County, a brother, Lee (Christene ) Amburgey of Paint Lick, two sisters, Tracci (Gerry) Metcalfe of Paint Lick and Zondra Thornton of Decatur, Tennessee, three grandchildren, Raydin Kay, Kamryn Blayne & Linkin, the mother of his son, Kay Smiddy, of Berea, a "bonus" son and granddaughter Chase Smiddy and Alayna Renee Smiddy, as well as a special friend, Patricia “Troubles” Tudor.
