Caroline Durham, 84, of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Landmark of Lancaster. Born December 5, 1936 in Garrard County, she was the daughter of the late George Dewey and Beatrice Casey Dailey. Caroline had a long career in nursing, first at Kentucky School for the Deaf and went on to become an LPN at the V.A. Hospital in Lexington where she retired. She was a member of Hyattsville Baptist Church and thoroughly enjoyed mowing with her John Deere mower. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Carter Durham , a daughter, Mary Ella Durham, son in law, Billy Staggs, and four brothers, Daniel, Lloyd, Ernest & George Dailey.
Her survivors include a son, Bobby Carter (Brenda) Durham , Jr. of Lancaster, a daughter, Peggy Staggs, of Lexington and a grandson, Joshua Carter Durham .
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, September 17, 2021 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Rev. Bryan Watts. Burial will follow in Lancaster Cemetery.
