Charity Crawford

Charity Hammons Crawford, 89, of Garrard County, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025, in Danville. Charity was born March 19, 1936 in Knox County, Kentucky, to the late Lee & Molly Hale Hammons. She had been an executive secretary for General Motors for many years and a member of Bryantsville Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jefferson Crawford, and 7 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra (Brian) Holley of Waxhaw, North Carolina, three sons, Michael Crawford of Landrum, South Carolina, Tim (Terry) Crawford of Lancaster, and Robert (Anna) Crawford of Richmond, seven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 PM on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at the Dozier Cemetery in Bimble, Kentucky, by Rev. Andrew Ditty.
