Charlotte Ann “Pud” Montgomery, 75, of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2025 in Danville. Born March 7, 1950 in Shelbyville, Charlotte was a daughter of the late Virgil & Elsie Frye Anderson. A cook for different food service establishments for most of her life, she was also a member of the Lancaster Church of the Nazarene. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Thomas Ray, three brothers, Claude, Eddie & Bryant Anderson, and a sister, Patricia Goins.
Her survivors include four step children, David Montgomery of Nicholasville, Stevon (Ada) Montgomery of Stanford, Barry (Marlena) Montgomery, of Berea, Donna Montgomery of Richmond, four brothers, Larry Anderson of Lancaster, Bobby (Edna) Anderson of Lancaster, Jerry Anderson of Lancaster, Danny (Gina) Anderson of Stanford, and two sisters, Ruby (Jack) Lear of Paint Lick and Sue (Tony) Coleman of Casey County. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Kacy (Andy) Saylor, Jared Montgomery, Brandon (Kandace) Montgomery & Hunter Montgomery as well as eight great grandchildren, Hudson Archer, Lakin, Carter & Bowen Saylor, Kyngston, Karsyn & Merritt Lane, and Jordyn Montgomery. She had many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews she loved dearly. The one person that was her everything in life was a great nephew, Jaden Wayne Anderson, that she raised until her health would no longer let her, just shy of his 13th birthday.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, October 23rd, 2025 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Rev. Jonathan Grizzell. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Paint Lick Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jaden Anderson , Corey Zeznanski, Michael Lear, Tyler Grant, Steven Goins and Jeff Anderson.
