On March 14th 2025, Connie Lynn Dailey Sutton, aged 70, a lifelong Lancaster resident and member of Lancaster Church of the Nazarene, transitioned over to her eternal life. On June 14th 1954 the world was forever changed—a little louder, brighter, wittier, and just generally more exciting. Connie married her best friend and the love of her life Dwain Sutton in 1971 and had a love story many could only dream about—a lifetime of devotion, protectiveness, and humor that spanned almost 54 years. Connie was not only the mother of her three girls—Stacy, Carrie, and Dwaina—but mothered any child around her over the years. She helped raise many children, who she treated like her own. She has 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; she swore that she loved them all equally, but most argue that they were her favorite. Connie was generous and charitable—always making sure anyone that entered her home was welcome and well fed. She was the type to buy souvenirs on field trips for kids with no money, or to buy presents for those that were in need. Other than her family—Connie loved UK basketball, trivia, Days of Our Lives, her dog Annie, yellow roses, game shows, bird watching, canning foods from her husband’s garden, and talking to her loved ones. She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years Dwain Sutton; her daughters Stacy Cravens of Lancaster, Carrie (Ben) Thomas of Louisville, and Dwaina (Bryan) Tuggle of Bryantsville; her sister Brenda (Donnie) Siler of Stanford; her grandchildren Cody (Mekala), Emily (Eric), Aaliyah, Shelby, Parker, Abby, Graci, Addie, Claire, Clay; and great grandchildren Pryce and Ensley. She has joined countless family members in heaven—including her parents Mildred Bryant Dailey and Hugh "Dick" Dailey, brother Walter "Dickie" Dailey, and sister Debbie Denton.
