Dave Gibson

Dave Gibson, 85, of Stanford, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born October 17, 1937 in Fount, Kentucky, he was a son of the late William F. & Cora Belle Hammons Gibson. He had been an Insurance Claim Advisor for Continental Insurance and was a longtime member and Elder of Indian Hills Christian Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death  by brothers and sisters, Bertha, Ethel, Finus, Darrell and Arnold.

On  December 13, 1954 he married Lucille Underwood Gibson and to this union were born a son, David Wayne (Candy) Gibson of Lancaster, a daughter,  Linda (The late Don) Dunaway of Stanford, three grandchildren, Josh (Lindsey) Gibson, Jessica (Ricky Kirkpatrick) Dunaway & Emily (Daniel) Walker. He is also survived by three great grandchildren, Rowan Cruz Gibson, Jaycee Bell & Mia Walker.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, October 28, 2022 at Indian Hills Christian Church located at 1200 Lexington Road, Danville, Ky. 40422, by Rev. Mike Crowe, Rev. Jim Cooper and Mr. Mark Lanham. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the church. Burial will take place in  Lancaster Cemetery.
