Denis Lavoie

Joseph Francoise Denis Andre Lavoie, passed quietly in his sleep on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at his home in Lancaster. Denis was born October 16, 1941 in Huntington, New York, he was the son of the late Lorenzo Lavoie & Mary Elizabeth Howard Keating. He served in the United States Navy in the early 1960’s, and moved to Kentucky with his career as a project manager for IBM. Denis is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Mary Kuster Lavoie; sister, Loretta Quarmley; 4 children, Todd (Robin) Lavoie, Keith (Darlene) Lavoie, Nicole (Torch) Locklear and Monique Lavoie; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral mass will be 3:00 PM Monday, September 9, 2024 at St. William Catholic Church in Lancaster with Father John List officiating and military rights by Caswell Saufley Post 18. Public viewing will be held from 1:30-2:30 PM on Monday September 9, 2024 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home. Denis’ wishes for cremation will be honored.
