Donald Matthews

Donald Mason Matthews, 73, of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022 at Stanford Care & Rehabilitation. Born Friday, March 4, 1949 in Garrard County, he was a son of the late Allen & Lealer Murphy Matthews. Donald was a former tree-trimmer for Asplundh tree services. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, James & Leonard Matthews; sisters, Alice Matthews, Iona Votaw, Betty Davis, Dorothy Davis, Ruby Grant, Virginia Denny & Joetta Collier.

Survivors include a son, Keith Matthews (Susan Baldridge) of Danville, Mary Medley, of Harrodsburg; grandchild, Dillon Matthews, as well as two great-grandchildren, Mason & Zeke Matthews.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Friday, September 9, 2022 at Lancaster Cemetery with Bro. Darrel Estes officiating. Friends & family may share memories or leave condolences on his tribute wall at : www.ramsey-young.com. Ramsey-Young Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
