Donald Lee Montgomery

Donald Lee Montgomery,  84, of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford. He was born June 17, 1942 in Garrard County to the late Holman Lee & Flossie Maupin Montgomery.  For most of his life, Don had been a farmer  and spent many years hauling water to many people across the area.   In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Charlotte Ann Montgomery, an infant sister,  Geraldine Montgomery, and a step grandchild, Thomas Ray.

He is survived by four children, David Montgomery, of Nicholasville,  Barry (Marlenia) Montgomery of Berea, Stevon (Ada) Montgomery of Lancaster, and Donna Ann Montgomery of Richmond. He also leaves behind four grandchildren,  Kacy Saylor, Jared, Brandon & Hunter Montgomery as well as ten great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11:00 until 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with a memorial service beginning at 1:00 PM.. Donald has chosen cremation rites and burial will follow in Lancaster Cemetery.  Friends and family may leave condolences or special memories on his tribute page at www.ramsey-young.com
