Donald Stephens, 86, of Lancaster, passed away Friday, August 12, 2022 at Landmark of Danville nursing home. Born September 23, 1935 in Winfield, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Myrtle & Bob Stephens. Donald was a member of Roberts Chapel Methodist Church in Nicholasville. Donald served as a Lexington police officer for 12 years, and spent most of his life as an engineer by trade. He loved eating his biscuit & gravy every morning at The Cottage Café, and spent everyday spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Stephens; son, Timothy Stephens; daughter, Rhonda Stephens, and a special dog named P-jib.
Survivors include two sons, Donnie (Easter) Stephens, of Lancaster, Barry (Jautanna) Stephens, of Florida, 6 grandchildren, & 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bro. Bryan Hester officiating & burial following at Burgin Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00PM until service time on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at the funeral home. Friends & family may share memories or leave condolences on his tribute wall at : www.ramsey-young.com. Ramsey-Young Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family requests all who attend services for Donald to please wear a proper facial covering.
