Dorothy Francis Davis Case, 88, of Junction City, passed peacefully from this life on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at home. Born Sunday, November 04, 1934 in Rose Hill, Mercer County to Roscoe & Mary Louise Dean Davis. Dorothy was a hard worker, she loved to play softball & enjoyed bowling, but her passion was fishing. At one point she held the record for the largest smallmouth bass caught by a woman in Lake Cumberland. She was also a former employee for ATR, from where she retired.
She is survived by one daughter, Teresa Terry (Bob) York, of Lancaster; son, Clinton “Corky” (Tammy) Terry, of Irvine; grandchildren, Crystal (Robby) Hendrickson, of Junction City, Brian (Shannon) York, of Atlanta, Georgia, Sarah Beth Terry, of Garrison, Kentucky, Dylan (Jasmyn) Terry, of DeRidder, Louisiana; great-grandchildren, Jesse (Nikki) Mattingly, of Harrodsburg, Clay Griffith, of Moreland, Addie York, of Atlanta, Georgia, Maverick Terry, of DeRidder, Louisiana; great-great-grandchildren, Creed Mattingly, Case Mattingly & Ella Grace Mattingly.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Shelby Baptist Church with Bro. Paul McFarland officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the church. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. For her love of fishing & Lake Cumberland, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions go to the Danville Christian Academy Bass Club & the Boyle County High School Bass Club and/or Heritage Hospice.
