Dorothy Grimes, 83, of Lancaster, wife of Ralph Grimes, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Baptist Heath in Lexington. Born Monday, August 14, 1939 in Jessamine County to the late Woodrow & Callie Land Paul. Dorothy was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting and sewing, she was a member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sons, Samuel Grimes, Gary Grimes, Russell Grimes, Glenn Preston; brothers, J.D. Clifford Paul, Mancil Lee Paul; sisters, Maggie Paul & Lillian Paul.
Survivors aside from her husband include her children, Linda Yadao, of Nicholasville, Bill (Edith) Preston, of Lancaster, Ralph Wayne Grimes, of Wilmore, Linda Martin, Robin (Wayne) King, Sue (Michael) Pasmore, all of Nicholasville; brother, Ernest Eugene Paul, of Nicholasville, & a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with burial to follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Pallbearers include, Paul Rigsby, Lloyd Sebastian, Tim Nunemaker, Ronnie Nunemaker & Don Rinthen. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until service time Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home.
