Doug Newton

Douglas John Newton, 57, of Lancaster, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021 at his home. Born on December 21, 1963 in Danville, he was the son of the late Robert E. "Bobby" & Mary Ann George Newton. He graduated from Garrard County High School in 1982, and was a former Certified Nursing Assistant. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Jeremy Gifford. Survivors include three children; daughter, Emily Lauren Newton (Kyle) of Somerset; sons, Charles Michael Newton and Daniel George Newton of Lexington; sisters, Beverly Gifford (Chris) of Stanford, Beckie Bailey (Marty) of Brodhead, and Barbie Gardner of Locust Grove, GA; nephews, Rob Sutton, Whit Gardner and Wyatt Gardner; two nieces, Alesia Sharp and Alaina Lear. Douglas' wishes for cremation have been honored, and services may be held at a later date.
