Evelyn Minnie Hulett, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025, at the age of 96, surrounded by loved ones. Her life was a testament to kindness, resilience, and quiet strength. Born on December 8, 1928, in West Alexandria, Ohio, she was the daughter of Jasper and Bertha (Matlock) Oakes. When she married Ralph E. Hulett, she devoted herself to being a housewife and raising their two children, Gary L. and Frances Ann. Ralph preceded her in death on February 10, 2005. Evelyn worked for many years at the Blue Jean Factory, where her hard work and dedication were deeply valued. Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Frances Ann Day; grandchildren, Ryan Hulett, Angela Day, and Chad (Jaime) Day; and great-grandchildren, MaKenzie Hulett, Caleb Day, Reeanne Barnett, Sarah Day, Savannah Day, and Jacoby Day. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Gary L. Hulett and son in law, Wendell Day. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity close to your heart, in honor of Evelyn.
