Freda M. Fields, 84, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at her home. Born on Sunday, November 6, 1938 to Sherman & Emma Pevley Douglass in Casey County. She was a member of Dix River Pentecostal Church.
Aside from her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, the late Vernon Fields, Sr.; and a brother, the late Jackie Douglass. Survivors include a son, Bobby (Kim) Fields, of Bryantsville, & Vernon (Patty) Fields, Jr., of Hawaii; a daughter, Patricia (William) Preston, of Gravel Switch; brothers, Wendall (Glenda) Douglass, of Moreland, George (Pat) Douglass, of Parksville, Ronald (Mary Ann) Douglass, of Casey County, Randy (Pat) Douglass, of Parksville, Chris (Vanessa) Fields of Boyle County; sisters, Mary (Earnest) Fields, of Lancaster, Ruby (the late Ben) Sparks, of Boyle County, Wonda (the late Bobby) Cook, of Indiana, & Pat (Neil) Conder, of Casey County; and several grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bro. Walter Bowling officiating and burial following at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Pallbearers include Wendall Douglass, George Douglass, Ronald Douglass, Randy Douglass, Chris Douglass, Earnest Fields, & Neil Conder. Honorary pallbearers include Bobby Lee Fields & Raven Fields. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until service time on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home.
