Gene Allen

Gene Allen, 88 of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Danville Health and Rehab. Born August 07, 1933 in Rockcastle County, he was a son of the late John & Annie Drew Allen.  Gene was a farmer, who enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wives , Phyllis Long Allen, Phyllis Ann Canter; daughters, Joyce and Patricia Faye Allen.

Survivors include a son, Johnnie Allen, of Lancaster; daughters, Jennie Chadwell, & Diane Dykes, both of Lancaster; brother, Roy Allen, of Lancaster; sister, Verna Mae Lane, of Lancaster; grandchildren, Richard (Cristy) Allen, Phillip Allen and Devin Dykes; great-grandchildren, Dalton, Sarah, Jackson, Kinley & Caden Allen.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, November 26, 2021 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers include Dalton Allen, Jackson Allen, Phillip Allen, Devin Dykes, Johnny Allen, & Jason Conn. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until service time on Friday November 26, 2021at the funeral home.
