Glenn Edward Hill, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at his home in Garrard County. Born to the late Ruford & Bertha Hensley Hill on August 7, 1943, in South Fork, KY. Glenn worked as a machinist, was an avid hunter & fisherman, knowledgeable gunsmith, skilled gardener, and a great camping companion.
Glenn is preceded in death by a daughter, the late Marsha Kay Hill; a sister, the late Shirley Allen; and a brother-in-law, the late Howard Sexton. Survivors include his son, Monty (Melissa) Hill, of Tyner, KY; a daughter, Tammy (Allan) Shelley, of Waynesburg, KY; a sister, Gale Sexton, of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Logan (Brittany) Hill, Myles (Aleshia) Hill, and Devon Shelley; nieces, Paula (Jerry) Bell, Terry (Ken) Watts; nephews, John (Wendy) Allen; and great-grandchildren, Mason Hill, Jenson Hill, and Irah Kay Hill.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Estes officiating and burial following at Paint Lick Cemetery. Pallbearers include, Allan Shelley, Devon Shelley, Myles Hill, Logan Hill, Jimmy Tudor & Austin Tudor. Honorary pallbearers include Clayton Shepard, Alvin Brickey, Phillip Carrier, Jackie Humes, and John Allan. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until service time on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at the funeral home.
