Gloria Davis

Gloria Davis, 77, of Stanford, passed away on March 12, 2026, at Stanford Crossing Rehabilitation Center. Born on April 27, 1948 in Casey County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Ollis & Lois Martin Fitzgerald. Gloria had a passion for education. She was a former teacher at Stanford Elementary School, and an Instructional Coach at McKinney Elementary School. Gloria also worked with the University of Kentucky in their goal to benefit the students and teachers in the Appalachian Regions of the state. She was a member of Highland Church, and attended Preachersville Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Dennis Davis of Stanford; sons, Kyle (Lindsey) Davis of Lancaster, and Chad Davis of Stanford; brother, Gary (Connie) Fitzgerald of Danville; 4 grandchildren, Jackson, Mason, Easton, and Violet Davis.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until funeral service time at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Highland Church. Burial will follow at Highland Church Cemetery with Bro. C. Lanny Hazelwood officiating services. Pallbearers include Jackson and Mason Davis, Grant Lucas, Josh Fitzgerald, Chaz Garcia, Rob Moore, and Alan May.
