Granville “Jack” Creech, 79, of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026 in Lancaster. Jack was born December 27, 1946 in Wolfe County, to the late Alva & Grace Brewer Creech. A U.S. Army veteran, he came back and worked for the US Postal Service as an Electrical Technician. He enjoyed spending his free time camping, hunting and fishing, watching wildlife and the birds and could always have a joke loaded and ready to go. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Creech and an infant brother, and four sisters,Elizabeth Cooper, Margaret Brown, Doris Robinson and Viola McFadden. He is survived by two sons, James (Regina) Creech of Waco, and Cameron (Lacey) Hurst of Richmond, his lifelong companion, Betty Hurst of Lancaster, two grandchildren, Olivia Creech and Jenesis Hurst, two brothers David Creech of Powell County, and Harold Inoue of Lexington as well as a sister, Cora McCatton of Lexington. Jack’s wishes for cremation services have been fulfilled at this time. Services will be held at a later date where he will be placed in the family cemetery in Wolfe County.
