Harold King Obituary

Harold L. King, 91, passed away on September 9, 2024, at Baptist Health in Lexington. Born to the late Marcus & Myrtle Conrad King on January 30, 1933, in Genesee County, Michigan. Harold was retired from both Trane & Kroger, as well as the military where he served in the US Army.

He is preceded in death by his wives, the late Evea Lois King & the late Glenna Faye King; and a brother, the late Jack King. Survivors include a daughter, Vickie (Dave) Worley, of Summerville, SC; a brother, Larry (Pat) King, of Michigan; sisters, Priscillia Beard (the late Dean) & Peggy (the late David) Johnston, both of Michigan; grandchildren, Kelsey King, Jake Peters, and Seth (Samantha) Peters; great-grandchildren, Landon King, Logan Peters, and Bennette Peters; and special friend, Bill Cox, of Nicholasville.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Friday, September 13, 2024, at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with burial following at Lancaster Cemetery and Rev. Mike Denny officiating. Pallbearers include Mike Tracy, Bill Tracy, Larry King, Chris Johnston, Seth Peters, and Jake Peters. Honorary pallbearers include Bill Cox and the Staff & Residents of Cedarhurst. Visitation will be from 11:00 until service time Friday, September 13, 2024, at the funeral home. Friends and family may leave condolences on his tribute wall at www.ramsey-young.com.
