Harold B. "Sonny" Lester

Harold B. “Sonny” Lester, 59, of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born Monday, March 02, 1964 in Danville, he was a son of the late Harold B., Sr. & Judith Sears Lester. Sonny never met a stranger. He was a man of many words, an avid storyteller, and was always there for anyone that needed a friend. Sonny was a United States Army veteran, serving 23 years as Military Police. He was a hard worker, and was an employee at Hitachi for 19 years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Lester.

Survivors include his sons, Cody (Candy) Lester & Micah Lester, both of Lancaster; daughter, Andrea Lester, of Texas; brother, Jason (Cristy) Lester, of McKinney, and 9 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, April 28, 2023 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Withers officiating and burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers include Kevin Steele, Denny Ray, Robert North, Jamie Lear, Ron Pope & Jeff Rich. Honorary pallbearers will be Troy Miller & Glen Lear.
