J M Watkins

J.M. Watkins, 82, of Paint Lick, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at his home on Richmond Road. Born Monday, June 12, 1933, in Paint Lick, he was the son of the late Carl & Beulah Smith Watkins. He was a Korean War Army veteran, a diesel mechanic, an upholsterer, and was a member of the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Dorothy "Dottie" Iles Watkins, sons; David Thueneman of Kenton County, Kentucky, John E. Watkins of Grant County, Kentucky, daughters; Ruth Ann Faulkner and Barbara Jean Watkins both of Kenton County, Kentucky, step-daughter; Alicia Robinson, of Boone County, Kentucky, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 3:00PM Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home, with Donald & Elaine Iles officiating and a burial following in Paint Lick Cemetery. Pallbearers include David Thueneman, John Watkins, Eric Thueneman, Daniel Thueneman, Mark Robinson, and Justin Robinson. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Coldiron, Ben Sexton, Jason Watkins, and Nicky Hammons. Visitation will be Sunday, November 1, 2015 at 12 Noon until service time at the funeral home.
