Obituary
Jackie R. Tudor, 75, of Stanford, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. He was born January 13, 1946 in Danville, to the late Louis & Nell Bingham Tudor. Jackie spent his career as a dozer operator for Hinkle Construction, was a licensed plumber, pilot, avid fisherman, member of the Corvette Friends Club, and a Kentucky Football fan. He was a United States Army veteran with the rank of Sergeant. Jackie was a member of the Lancaster Church of the Nazarene and attended Preachersville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Joann Baker Tudor; sons, Nick (Heather) Tudor, of Nancy, Marty (Barbara) Carrier, and Mark Carrier, both of Stanford; daughters, Luann (Brian Mayfield) Brown, of Burnside, and Tammy (Todd) Kirkpatrick, of Stanford; brother, Gilbert Tudor, of Stanford; sister, Judy Acord, of Stanford; grandchildren, Miranda Edwards, Megan Kirkpatrick, Kaylie Tudor, Shelbie Tudor, Matt (Beth) Carrier, Josh Carrier, Heather Carrier, Justice (Talynn Bottoms) Carrier, Paige Denton, Amanda Brown, Jessica Brown, and Jordan Payne; and great-grandchildren, Aiden, Jaxon, Carlie, Amber, Tatum, Hadley, Olivia, and Noah.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Rev. Lanny Charles Hazelwood officiating and burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Military rites at the cemetery will be conducted by the Caswell Saufley Post 18 of the American Legion and led by the Patriot Guard. Pallbearers include David Bolton, Chris Strevels, Mickey Rhodus, Patrick Denham, Scott Carrier, and Wendell Osborne. Honorary Pallbearers include the Corvette Friends Club, Class of 1965 Garrard County High School, Steve Lucas, and Luann Brown. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home.
