Jacqueline (Lewis) Doss

Jacqueline Lewis Doss, 82, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at her home surrounded by loved ones. Born on Tuesday, February 9, 1943, in Manchester, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late James Harvey & Ella Powell Lewis. Jacqueline was a former employee at American Greetings for 50 years, and a member of Green River Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed reading, watching westerns, shopping, and loved Elvis Presley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas C. “Buddy” Yocum; brothers, & sisters, Irene, Morgan, Gene, Herman, Cleo, her twin, Gerald Dean, & Larry Wayne Lewis.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Harvey Doss, of Lancaster; son, Larry Yocum, and daughter Donna (Anthony) Davis, both of Lancaster; son, Greg (Tonya) Doss, of Stanford; daughters, Teresa (Matt) Singleton, of Perryville & Kim (Darin) Holton, of Stanford; grandchildren, Brandi (Jason) Hardwick, Brittany (Logan) Edgington, Sarah & Luke Singleton, Allissa Oakes, Hunter & Braydon Doss, Kimber Nicely; great-grandchildren, Mattie, Cole, & Archer Hardwick, Zac & Zoe Jordon, Taylor Edgington, & Riley Nicely, as well as several nieces, nephews, & cousins.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Rhodus officiating and burial following at Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers include Zac Jordon, Cole Hardwick, Hunter & Braydon Doss, Luke Singleton, & Wilmer Melendez. Honorary pallbearers include Michael & Paul Lewis, Jim Fields, and Eddie, Dean, & Roger Lewis, Sandy Thomson, Shannon Meadows, and Lisa Ledford. Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until service time on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may go to Heritage Hospice.
