James Prater, Jr. Obituary

James Monroe Prater, Jr., 51, of Lancaster, passed away Friday, June 27, 2025, at Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford. Born on December 29, 1973, he was a son of the late James M. Sr., & Ressie Manns Prater. James attended Wallaceton Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry & Terry Prater.

Survivors include two daughters, Kelsi & Brianna Prater; his companion Teresa Saylor, and a brother, Jerry Lee (Patricia) Prater, Sr.

James’ wishes for cremation will be honored, and private family services will be held at a later date.
