James Harvey Henderson, 87, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025 at his home. He was born in Danville on May 29, 1937 to the late Harvey and Marietta Naylor Henderson. James Harvey had been a former employee of ATR for 29 years, and the owner operator of Henderson Trailer Sales, Lancaster, Ky. He was a lifelong member, and served as an Elder of Fairview Christian Church, was a graduate of Paint Lick High School, an avid John Deere Collector, UK Wildcats fan and very proud of his large family. He also loved his beloved dog , JuJu. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Sheila Wrenn, who passed away earlier this week. He leaves behind his wife of 31 years, Carolyn Clark Henderson, two sons, Bruce James (Karen) Henderson of Taccoa, Georgia, Roger (Zelphia) Henderson of Lancaster, a daughter, Christi (Ronald) Asher of Lancaster, grandchildren, Christopher (Cyndi) Wrenn of Danville, Kimberly (Christopher) Fisher of Lancaster, Daniel Henderson of Lancaster, Sarah (Dalton) Freeman of Anderson, SC., Elisha Henderson, of Paint Lick, Roger Anthony Henderson of Lancaster, Nathan (Brittany) Henderson of Nicholasville, Rebekah (Aron) Neal of Danville, David (Rhianna) Poynter of Fenton, Missouri and Danielle (Matt) Garrison of Hopkinsville, Ky., as well as 13 great grandchildren and one great grandchild. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 Monday, February 17th, at Ramsey Young Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mr. Henderson will be 2 PM Tuesday, February 18th, 2025 at Fairview Christian Church with Bro. Geno Washington & Bro. Aron Neal officiating. Visitation will also be at the church from 12 Noon until service time Tuesday at the church .Burial will follow in Paint Lick Cemetery. The grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, contributions may go to Fairview Christian Church. The family would also like to take this opportunity to thank Heritage Hospice for their support during this difficult time.
