Janice Arlene Gregory, 70, of Danville, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at her home surrounded by loved ones. Born on Sunday, September 27, 1953 in Danville, she was a daughter of the late Leonard & Margaret Carter Oaks. Janice was a lifelong homemaker, she enjoyed crocheting and painting. Janice also had a love for animals, and was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church, in Danville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Gregory, and her brothers, Leonard Oaks, Jr., Tom Oaks, and Gary Wayne Oaks.
Survivors include a son, Michael Gregory, of Pensacola, Florida; daughter, Mendy (James) Poynter, of Hustonville; sisters, Edna (Dwight) Williams, of Danville, and Diana Oakley, of Stanford; grandchildren, Scott Poynter, Zach Poynter, Tina Mullins, Gina Baysden, and Lexi Gregory; great-grandchildren, Rubi Mullins, Michelle Desmond, Atlas Poynter, and Emileen Poynter, as well as a host of nieces & nephews.
