Jennifer Black Grubbs, 64, of Lancaster, passed away Monday, July 20, 2026 at her home. Jennifer was born November 17, 1961 in Garrard County, to the late Paul R. & Oneida Whittaker Black. A lifelong Garrard countian , Jennifer served for 19 years as the Garrard County Circuit Court Clerk and had been a member of Antioch Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jared Grubbs, and a brother, Jefferey Lee Black.
Her survivors include her husband, Randy, of Lancaster, a daughter Brandy Poynter of Lancaster, and a sister, Janilyn (Mark) Henderson of Stanford. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Trayce Poynter, Jaghyr Wood & Pearce Molen, as well as a great grandchild, Kace Poynter.
Visitation will be held 5:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home. Funeral services for Jennifer will be 1:00 PM Thursday, July 23, 2026 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Rev. Wendell Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Trayce Poynter, Jaghyr Wood, Pearce Molen, Levi , Gage & Mark Henderson, and Garrett Wesley. Honorary pallbearers will be Tre Grubbs, Alex, Josh & Derek Middleton, Raegan & Riley Henderson, Tiffany Whitley & Jamie Black.
