Joann Reed Davis

Joann Reed Davis, 87, of Waynesburg, widow of Raymond “Dart” Davis, passed away Monday, February 01, 2021 at her home. Born on Sunday, March 05, 1933 in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late William Daley & Virginia Marie Butt Reed. Joann was the owner & operator of Faulkner’s Motel & Restaurant for 25 years & was a former employee for Lincoln County School Systems. She was a member of Highland Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond “Dart” Davis; brother, Paul Reed, and a sister, Genevieve Reed. Survivors include a son, Dennis (Gloria) Davis, of Stanford; daughter, Kimberly (Douglas) May, of Highland; brother, Shelby Reed, of Stanford; grandchildren, Mindy May Pennington, Chad Fitzgerald Davis, Alan Davis May, Kyle Reed Davis, Rebecca May Garcia; eleven great-grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren & a special friend,  Violet James, of Stanford. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 06, 2021 at Highland Methodist Church with Dr. Quentin Scholtz & Rev. Kyle Burnette officiating and burial following at Highland Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chad Davis, Kyle Davis, Alan May, Chaz Garcia, Rob Moore & Shelby Reed II. Honorary pallbearers include Mindy Pennington & Rebecca Garcia. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until service time Saturday, February 06, 2021 at the church.
