Joetta Talbott, 89, of Garrard County, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Danville Center for Health & Rehabilitation. Born on Sunday, December 4, 1932 in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late Alfred & Elizabeth McKinney Starnes. Joetta enjoyed crocheting, gardening, flowers, & UK sports. She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Banford Talbott; brothers, Billy, Paul, & G.B. Starnes; sisters, Nadine Scott, Janie Conley & Tony Ray.
Survivors include daughters, Mary (Gary) Carpenter, of Garrard County, Brenda Tyler, of Danville; grandchildren, Christopher Talbott, Pam Monroe, Kim Broughton, Betty Doolin, Tina Woodward; great-grandchildren, Taylor Talbott, Justin Lear, Baylee Doolin, Tiffany “Sassy” Lear, Landon Woodward, Kaylee Jo Pence, Jeremiah & Hope Broughton; great-great-grandson, Joshua Broughton, as well as a host of nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, August 5, 2022 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Mr. Tom Scott officiating and burial following at Paint Lick Cemetery. Pallbearers include Christopher Talbott, Taylor Talbott, Justin Lear, Baylee Doolin, Landon Woodward, & Gary Carpenter. Honorary pallbearers include Tiffany “Sassy” Lear, Kaylee Jo Pence, Jeremiah Broughton, Hope Broughton, Joshua Broughton & all of Joetta’s nieces & nephews. Visitation will be from 11:00AM until service time on Friday, August 5, 2022 at the funeral home.
