John Denney Obituary

John Wayne Denney, 61, of Lancaster, passed away Friday, October 14, 2022 at Fort Logan Hospital. Born Tuesday, November 01, 1960 in Garrard County to the late Robert & Louvinia Griffin Denney. John worked 25 years for Feldman’s Lumber and was a farmer. He was a member of New Life PCG in Danville. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Lawless Denney, of Lancaster; sons, Frankie (Dana) Denney, of Lancaster, James Denney, of Lancaster, Robert Denney, of Lancaster; daughter, Melissa Denney, of Lancaster; brothers, James Griffin, of Crab Orchard, Michael (Elsie) Denney, of Lancaster, Jesse (Lisa) Denney, of Lancaster; sisters, Myrtle (Jack Garwood) McClure, of Crab Orchard, Martha Davidson, of Stanford, Nancy Baker, of Danville; grandchildren, Melinda Denney, Johnathon Denney, Christian Denney & Bryson Denney.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at New Life PCG Church in Danville with Rev. Kevin Gordon officiating and burial following at Denney Family Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jason Hall, Kurt Lear, Matt Barbour, Robert Watkins, Albert Carrier & Franklin McClure. Honorary pallbearers include Dakota Davis, Devin Dykes, Joseph Edwards, Nathaniel Lear and a host of nieces & nephews. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time on Wednesday, October 19,2022 at New Life PCG Church.  Friends and family may leave condolences or special memories on his tribute page at www.ramsey-young.com.
