Johnny Wayne Metcalfe

Johnny Wayne Metcalfe, 76, of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born on Thursday, June 27, 1946 in Danville, he was a son of the late James Benjamin & Mae Moberly Metcalfe. Johnny was a former Product Engineer for I.B.M. & a United States Army veteran during the Vietnam War era. Johnny attended Hyattsville Baptist Church & enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lou Metcalfe; daughter, Michelle Metcalfe & a sister, Jamesetta Kurtz.

Survivors include his daughter, Allison Bowman, of Lancaster; brothers Jody & Jack Metcalfe, both of Stanford; grandchildren, Jordan Denson, Matt Simpson, Skyler Metcalfe, Alex Bowman & 2 great-grandchildren, Nolan & Tolsen Denson.

Funeral services will be 1:00PM Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Full military honors will be performed by Caswell Saufley Post #18 of the American Legion. Pallbearers include Jack Metcalfe, Jody Metcalfe, Alex Bowman, Matt Simpson, Robert Masters, Danny Adams & B.J. Moore. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until service time on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at the funeral home.
