Joseph “Peanut” Napier, 60, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025, in Madison County. Born to the late Harry & Irene Swinney Napier on September 15, 1964 in Garrard County. Peanut worked at a construction worker, enjoyed riding motorcycles, gun collecting, and spending time with his granddaughter.
Survivors include his daughter, Samara (Derek) Overton, of Middlesboro; brothers, Bobby Napier & Frankie Napier, both of Richmond; sisters, Carolyn (Larry) Hopkins, Linda Napier, both of Lancaster, and Betty (Charles) Harrison, of South Carolina, grandchildren, Adalynn, and one on the way, Dallas.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bro. Stevie Robinson officiating and burial following at Ramsey Cemetery. Pallbearers include Frankie Napier, Jimmy Hall, Larry Hopkins, Dustin Berryman, J.T. Napier, Frankie Hall, James Napier. Honorary pallbearers include Terry Potter, Billy Potter, Roger Young, and Mike Van Winkle. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM — 8:00 PM Friday, March 28, 2025, at the funeral home.
