Katherine C Adams

Katherine Carrier Adams, 80, of Eastland Acres in Lancaster, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2016 in Danville. Born October 25, 1935 in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late John "Doc" and Della Mae Underwood Carrier. She had been an employee of Whirlpool Manufacturing, co owner of Adams Distributing and retired from Lancaster Elementary School. She was also a member of Indian Hills Christian Church in Danville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Jefferson Adams, and two sisters, Lois Carrier King & Hazel Carrier. Her survivors include a son, Bruce Adams of Lancaster, a daughter, Sharon (Randy) Adams of Lancaster , a sister, Ruth Tracy of Lancaster, two grandchildren Tasha Lynn & Kaitlyn Randa Adams and a great grandchild, Xavian Jacob Padgett. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Revs. Jim Cooper, Mike Crowe & Odis Clark, with burial in Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike & Bill Tracy, Ashton Glasscock, William Payton, Tim Sharpe & David Gibson, with members of her Barnabus Sunday School class serving as honorary bearers.
