Kenneth W. Underwood

Kenneth Wesley Underwood, 80, of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024 at his home. Born on Tuesday, October 19, 1943 in Lancaster, he was a son of the late David “Dink” & Willie Katherine Carrier Underwood. Kenneth was a former engineer at Lexmark for over 35 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, mowing, golfing, and was a member of Forks of Dix River Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Underwood.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Phyllis Bunch Underwood, of Lancaster; son, Paul (Christy) Underwood, of Somerset; sisters, Geneva (Ralph) Gaffney, of Lancaster, Patricia Wilson, of Danville; grandchildren, Emily Underwood, of Harrodsburg, Kensley (Nathan) Hooper, of Lancaster, Nicholas Albert, and Allyson Albert, both of Somerset, Edison Underwood, of Lancaster; great-granddaughter, Mabel Jo Hooper, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
