Lois Ray, 68, of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, in Danville. Born on August 30, 1956 in Danville, she was a daughter of the late Charles E. & Gladys Duggins Lamb. Lois was married to Gilbert Ray for 32 years, and retired from Rite-Aid after 26 years as a pharmacy technician. She was also a member of Freedom Baptist Church. She loved her family, and enjoyed spending quality time with her children, grandchildren , and great-grandchildren. Lois specifically enjoyed cooking for her family during the holidays. She was an avid Garrard County football fan, and was an amazing mother, grandmother & great-grandmother.
Survivors include her sons, Charlie Ray and Daniel (Gretchen Rayburn) Ray, both of Lancaster; daughter, Gennie Ray, of Lancaster; brother, Ronnie (Pat) Lamb, of Moreland; sister, Sherry (Dale) Taylor, of Harrodsburg; grandchildren, Leeanna (Jamon Feltner) Simpson, Zack Ray, Amber (Devin White) Ray, Emilea (Jonathan Denny) Tillman, Skylar Ruth, Taylor Ruth, Kaylee Breeze; great-grandchildren, Maylee Bradley, Victoria Feltner, Kadience Breeze; and a host of nieces & nephews.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Friend officiating, and burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers include Richard Harrison, John Hancock, Jamon Feltner, Jonathan Denny, Tristan Murphy and Jason Hall. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at the funeral home.
