Lorraine (McQueary) Oakes

Lorraine McQueary Oakes, 88, of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021 at her home. Born September 21, 1932 in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Frank & Anna Mae Speaks McQueary. Lorraine was homemaker, a caretaker, & a member of the Lancaster Church of the Nazarene. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Craig Oakes, & one daughter, Marlene Oakes.

Survivors include a son, Donald Oakes; daughters, Sandra Oakes, Sheila Oakes, Debra (Billy Joe) Arnold, all of Lancaster, Tricia (Larry) Combs, of Hamilton, Ohio, LaLana Oakes, of Washington State; sisters, Flora Moberly, of Miamisburg, Ohio, Barbara McQueary, of Nicholasville; grandchildren, Brandon Combs, Tyler Combs, Samantha Sparkman, & Danielle Arnold, & ten great-grandchildren.
