Lucille (Underwood) Gibson

Lucille “Lou” Underwood Gibson, 84 of Danville, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Landmark of Lancaster Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. Born on Wednesday, May 3, 1939 in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Librun & Myrte Goins Underwood. Lucille was a former employee for Genesco & a member of Indian Hills Christian Church in Danville for 38 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Gibson; brothers, Neil & Jimmy Underwood; sisters, Betty Gipson & Sue Wade.

Survivors include a son; David Wayne (Candy) Gibson, of Lancaster; daughter, Linda (the late Don) Dunaway, of Danville; grandchildren, Josh (Lindsey) Gibson, Jessica Dunaway (Ricky Kirkpatrick), Emily (Daniel) Walker & great-grandchildren, Rowan Cruz Gibson, Ella Gracelyn Walker, Mia Walker & Jaycee.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, February 5, 2024 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Crowe & Bro. Jim Cooper officiating and burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers include Kevin Wade, Ricky Kirkpatrick, Josh Gibson, Mark Lanham, Daniel Walker & Terry Cook. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time on Monday, February 5, 2024 at the funeral home.
