Mark Blevins, 67, of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 at his home. Born in Richmond, Kentucky, November 29, 1954 to the late Hume & Ethel Ratliff Blevins, Mark grew up with a love for the lake and fishing. He was active in several sports as a child and spent most of his days with cousins. He graduated from Madison Central High School and enlisted in The United States Navy in 1974, where he served for 4 years. He was proud to be a veteran and loved his country. He worked 20 years for CSX Railroad and was a member of Tates Creek Baptist Church. He was a simple man. Mark loved God , his family, fishing, reading, music, gardening and Nascar racing. His favorite place to go was Okeechobee, Florida to go fishing. He is survived by his children, Johnny (Andri) Blevins, of Berea, Daniel (Melissa) Blevins, of Richmond, Ashley (Jamie) Darland, of Nicholasville, 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, the mother of his children and friend, Corrina Blevins, and a very special aunt, Edith Ratliff.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, January 24, 2022 at Ramsey-Young Funeral with Rev. Bob Brock officiating and burial following at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Caswell Saufley Post #18 of the American Legion will act as pallbearers and perform full military honors. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time on Monday, January 24, 2022 at the funeral home.
