Mike “Lurch” Oakley, 68, of Lancaster, passed away Friday, November 21, 2025 in Danville. Born March 6, 1957 in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri he was a son of the late John Henry & Iris Collard Oakley. Mike was a longtime construction worker and former Vocational School Teacher at Garrard County High School. He was a member of Hyattsville Baptist Church, Peacemakers Motorcycle Club, and was a Freemason and Past Master with Lancaster Lodge #104.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Grant Thomas Oakley and two brothers, John & Larry Oakley.
Lurch is survived by his wife, Pam Montgomery Oakley, two daughters, Reesha Little Oakley (Thomas) May, of Morehead, Jessica Little Oakley (John) Allen, of West Point, Tennessee, two brothers, Henry (Julie) Oakley, of Winchester, Dennis (Missy) Oakley, of Lexington, a sister, Iris Ann “Sis” Caldwell, of Danville, and a sister in law, Donna Oakley, of Mt. Sterling.
Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Hyattsville Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Hyattsville Baptist Church. Burial with Masonic rites by Lancaster Lodge #104 will take place in Paint Lick Cemetery. Pallbearers will be the Kentucky and Tennessee Presidents of the Peacemakers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Avengers Motorcycle Club, John Beazer & Billy Nubbs. In lieu of flowers, contributions may go to the Grant Oakley Memorial Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 211, Lancaster, Ky. 40444.
