Opal Lamb, 84, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Landmark of Lancaster. Born June 1, 1938 in Garrard County, Opal was a daughter of the late John & Fannie Helton Adams. She had been a seamstress and caregiver, and was a member of the Danville Church of God, Opal enjoyed traveling, gardening, playing cards and spending time with her rook and bingo groups at McDonald’s. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, T.J. Adams, a sister, Irene Lamb, and a set of infant twin sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond C. Lamb of Lancaster, sons, Ernie (Tammy) Lamb of Lancaster, Randall (Pamela) Lamb of Stanford, a daughter , Phyllis Lamb of Lancaster, 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Rev. Bryan Montgomery. Burial will follow in Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cody Floyd, Tony Luna, Caleb Morgan, Dwayne Stipe, Randall Lamb & Celso Castillo. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
