Pastor Maurice Montgomery

Pastor Maurice W. Montgomery, 76, of Madisonville, KY., passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Baptist Health Madisonville. He was born on June 27, 1939 in Lancaster, KY to the late Louise Huffman and Hubert E. Montgomery. Maurice was a United States Air Force Veteran and pastored Bible Baptist Church for forty-two years. In his spare time he enjoyed wood carving, hunting, and restoring antique cars. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his brothers, Eugene Francis Montgomery and Kenneth E. Montgomery; and his sisters, Alma Joyce Montgomery and Judy Montgomery Estes. Survivors include his wife of fifty-four years, Marilyn Sue Kennemer Montgomery; his son, Gary W. Montgomery and wife, Natasha, of Fredericksburg, VA; his son, Daniel Montgomery and wife, Tina, of Madisonville; his daughter, Linda Sue Montgomery Haskins and husband, Larry, of Cabot, AR; his brother, Dwight D. Montgomery of Lancaster; his grandsons, Luke Haskins, Joshua, Matthew, Aaron, and Alex Montgomery; his granddaughters, Nastassja Montgomery and Hannah Haskins; his step-grandson, Kenneth Williams; his step-granddaughter, Felisha Hernandez; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held in 12 Noon Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Pastor Marvin Stalnaker, with burial following in Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers are Matthew Ray, Sammy Wall, Eric Wall, Daniel Graves, Rodney Montgomery and Anthony Montgomery. Honorary pallbearers are Joshua Montgomery,Matthew Montgomery, Aaron Montgomery, Luke Montgomery Haskins and Alex Montgomery.
