Pat Jones Obituary

Pat Morris Jones, 73, of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at his home. Born January 12, 1949 in Somerset, he was a son of the late Robert Lee & Mavis Morris Jones. Pat was a Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, longtime truck driver, a retired employee of the Garrard County Road Dept., and a member of the Maple Avenue Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, David & Robert L. Jones.

Pat’s survivors include his wife of 32 years, Helen Keeling Jones, a son, Kelly Wayne Jones of Chaplin, Kentucky, a step daughter, Margaret Sue (Monty) Major of Lancaster, two step sons, Eugene (Vanessa) Lacey of Lancaster, and Tim (Tammy) Martin of Texas, and one brother, Dennis (Micky) Jones of Bonita Springs, Florida, He also has one granddaughter, Vivian Jones, several step grandchildren and several step great grandchildren.

Pat’s request for cremation rites have been honored at this time. He will be interred at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with military rites on Monday, July 25, 2022. Friends and family may leave condolences or special memories on his tribute page at www.ramsey-young.com
